Lesson 12: The U.S

教學(xué)目標(biāo)：

1、知識(shí)目標(biāo)：學(xué)習(xí)“U.S.  know”以及關(guān)于美國(guó)的相關(guān)常識(shí)。

2、能力目標(biāo)：可以讀、寫、說出并且聽懂“U.S.  know”，可以說出并且聽懂“Do you know _____ ? Yes, I know. No, I don’t know.”

3、情感目標(biāo)：激發(fā)學(xué)生 對(duì)英語(yǔ)的持久興趣，培養(yǎng)運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言進(jìn)行交際的能力，鼓勵(lì)同學(xué)之間的合作并能互幫互助。

教學(xué)重點(diǎn)、難點(diǎn)：能用英語(yǔ)向其他人簡(jiǎn)單介紹美國(guó)這個(gè)國(guó)家。

教具準(zhǔn)備：地圖、卡片、錄音機(jī)

學(xué)生準(zhǔn)備：紅，白，藍(lán)三色紙，剪刀，雙面膠或膠水

教學(xué)過程：

一、     Class Opening and Review

1，歌曲（第九課所學(xué)）

2，出示世界地圖指著中國(guó)問

What’s this country? (China.)

What colour is this country?（It’s  red.）

What’s the capital city of this country?（Beijing.）

What country is east of China?（the U.S.）

What do we speak in China?(Chinese)

Can you talk about China’s flag?(It’s red.

It has yellow stars.)

What are the represent things in China?(The Palace Museum.)

通過綜合語(yǔ)言訓(xùn)練方式復(fù)習(xí)了中國(guó)的基本常識(shí)。

2，指著加拿大地圖問

What’s this country? (Canada.)

What colour is this country?（It’s  green.）

What do they speak in Canada?(English and French.)

What is the capital city of Canada? (It’s Ottawa.)

What country is south of Canada?(the U.S.)

Can you describe Canada’s flag? (Canada’s flag is red and

White. It has a leaf.)

What is the famous waterfall in Canada?(Niagara Falls.)

What’s the mountains’ name in Canada?(Rock Mountains)

通過綜合語(yǔ)言訓(xùn)練方式復(fù)習(xí)了加拿大的基本常識(shí)

二、     New Contents

1.     教師問“Boys and girls, do you know the U.S.? ”

S: Yes.

T: Yes, you know. (教學(xué)新單詞“U.S.  know”)

教師指著黑板上的地圖，說“This is the U.S. We can also call it ‘the United States’.  ‘U.S.’ is short for ‘the United States’.”

2.     T: What else do you know about the U.S.? Now you can discuss in your groups. (小組交流自己所知道的和在課下搜集的有關(guān)美國(guó)的常識(shí)。)

通過學(xué)生對(duì)加拿大的了解，激發(fā)他們繼續(xù)學(xué)習(xí)有關(guān)加拿大知識(shí)的積極性。

3.     出示世界地圖指著美國(guó)問

What colour is this country?（It’s purple.）

What’s the capital city of this country?（Washington，D.C.）

What country is east of China?（the U.S.）

What country is south of Canada?（the U.S.）

What do they speak in the U.S.?(English)

Can you talk about the U.S.’s flag?(It’s red,white and blue, it has stars and stripes.)

What are the represent things in the U.S.?

The U.S. has White House and Statue of Liberty.

通過對(duì)中國(guó)加拿大知識(shí)的對(duì)比，既復(fù)習(xí)了前兩課的知識(shí)，又能對(duì)美國(guó)常識(shí)有深刻的印象。

4．利用紅色，藍(lán)色和白色的紙制作美國(guó)國(guó)旗

親手制作美國(guó)國(guó)旗，讓學(xué)生終身難忘美國(guó)國(guó)旗的樣子。

5．  Talk about the U.S. in own words.

鞏固今天所學(xué)知識(shí)。
